Stoke City supporters on Twitter have reacted to the rumours that their club wants to sign Aston Villa’s Keinan Davis.
The Daily Mail have recently claimed that Villa’s 22-year-old powerhouse is a loan target for promotion-hopefuls Stoke.
It’s fair to say that a selection of the Stoke supporters don’t seem too convinced with the Villa man.
On paper, it’s understandable if a player like Davis doesn’t fill you with enthusiasm, but those who have watched him regularly will tell you he’s a top-quality performer.
The Villa academy product has brute strength and is someone who gets the best out of the players around him.
He wins most of his aerial and on-the-ground duels, which allows his team to spend more time in the final third and cause havoc.
Davis has been an unlucky player at Villa, who just needs that goal and run of game time to seriously get things going.
With Ollie Watkins at the helm, that task is that bit tougher, but a loan move word work, especially to a physical side such as Stoke.
But given that Davis is back-up to Watkins, it would be a surprise if Dean Smith allows him to depart.
