Glenn Hoddle has claimed that Luis Diaz is proving that he is ‘made for Liverpool’, as he told MatchDay Live Extra on PL Productions (19/02/22 at 8:25 pm).
The former England playmaker added that Liverpool’s £37 million man (Sky Sports) is already getting ‘better and better’.
On Saturday, the Reds had to come from behind to beat relegation-threatened Norwich City 3-1 and Diaz opened his mark on Merseyside.
With no Roberto Firmino or Diogo Jota in the matchday squad, Mane played as the number nine, with Diaz dancing his way past the opposition from the left.
Hoddle likes what he has already seen from the Colombian, as he explained why he already looks Liverpool quality.
“They have so much talent, don’t they,” said Hoddle. “But it’s good for him to get off the mark.
“It was a great ball from Henderson and that run that we have seen Liverpool players do, he looks made for Liverpool. From out to in.
“He’s running across, turns the afterburners on and he sees the little gap. If you are a good runner off the ball at Liverpool, at Man City and the top teams, then normally somebody sees you. The ball is at your feet.
“Then it’s up to you. Do you have the ability to do something with it and finish it? So, he’s getting better and better playing in that team.”

The games are coming thick and fast for the Reds, with that all-important game in hand against Leeds next, before their League Cup final showdown against Chelsea.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are still in all four competitions and the signs suggest that they should add at least one trophy to their cabinet this term.
The start Diaz is making is proving to be very helpful to Klopp’s cause because, during this hectic fixture period and pressurised games, it allows him to rotate in a free manner.
With Jota still out, it will be interesting to see what changes, if any, are made for the visit of Marcelo Bielsa’s all-action Leeds side on Wednesday night.
