The Norwich City midfielder has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur have yet to make any signings in this transfer window but there is much speculation regarding players who could potentially join the club.
Norwich City midfielder James Maddison, for instance, is interesting Mauricio Pochettino’s side, as reported by The Mirror.
A key creative threat for Norwich, Maddison has produced some outstanding performances in the Championship this season – he has scored six goals and provided five assists across 24 appearances.

There is little doubt that Maddison, who at the age of 21 still has plenty of time on his side to develop further, is an excellent talent, and he is surely worthy of stepping up to the Premier League.
However, it is questionable as to whether Tottenham need to sign the prospect given that they can already call upon several creative stars, including the likes of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Son Heung-min and Erik Lamela.

Maddison could perhaps play in a slightly deeper position if he was to join Tottenham, but that may not get the best out of the England U21 international, who is most effective higher up the pitch.
If Tottenham are to bolster their resources this month then they shouldn’t pursue a deal for Maddison, despite the quality that he possesses.
