LuaLua has signed for Sunderland, seven years after leaving Newcastle United.

Sunderland fans look on as players warm up ahead of the Sky Bet Championship match between Sunderland and Derby County at Stadium of Light on August 4, 2017 in Sunderland, England.

Sunderland supporters are reacting on Twitter after a post by Kazenga LuaLua four years ago surfaced shortly after the former Newcastle United winger’s arrival at the Stadium of Light.

LuaLua has moved to Sunderland on a short-term deal from Brighton & Hove Albion, where he had spent the previous seven years after leaving first club, Newcastle.

But he is already in hot water with some Mackems fans, after admitting to hating his new club in a 2014 Twitter message – which has since been deleted – to a trio of then Millwall Lionesses players.

Kazenga LuaLua of Queens Park Rangers is tracked by Callum Connolly of Wigan during the Sky Bet Championship match between Queens Park Rangers and Wigan Athletic at Loftus Road on February...

The post, which LuaLua sent on the day of Sunderland Ladies’ FA Women’s Super League 2 title decider against Millwall, read: “MASSIVE Good luck TO @LilyAgg24 for Today against sunderland…… #IHATESUNDERLAND . also good luck to @NaomiCole35 and @CiaraSherwood X”

Sunderland Ladies were later crowned champions, courtesy of a 4-0 win over the London club.

Not all Sunderland supporters are so quick to condemn the 27-year-old, however, with one of them even admitting he says the same thing himself every Saturday.

Here’s what’s been said so far…

LuaLua spent the first half of the campaign on loan to Queens Park Rangers.

However, he only made two starts in his second spell with Ian Holloway’s team and has not played at all since late November.

Should Sunderland fans give the former Newcastle United winger the benefit of he doubt?
