Some Liverpool fans on social media have been raving over the performance of Sadio Mane against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Senegal international looked back to his best against Spurs, grabbing a goal and an assist against the London club.
However, despite contributing to two goals, it’s hard to argue that he shouldn’t have scored even more.
Indeed, Hugo Lloris made two great saves to deny Mane, while within the first five minutes the winger had missed a clear-cut chance, and if those had gone in, he could have had a hat-trick on the day.
It’s a testament to his work-rate and positioning that he was carving out those types of chances, and if this performance has brought back a bit of confidence to his game, he should have no problem when it comes to tucking those away in the future.
Fans were very appreciative of Mane’s performance on the day, and rather than highlighting his goal or his assist, most fans were keen to talk about how much he was running and how hard he was working.
