Manor Solomon and Pape Matar Sarr have praised Tottenham Hotspur teammate Destiny Udogie on Instagram.
As you can see from the post below, Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon and central midfielder Pape Matar Sarr were hugely impressed by Destiny Udogie’s performance against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Praise for Tottenham Hotspur left-back Destiny Udogie
Spurs got the better of Bournemouth 2-0 away from home in the league.
Udogie started at left-back.
The 20-year-old Italy Under-21 international left-back provided an assist.
Udogie has played in all three of Tottenham’s Premier League matches so far this season.
And he has done well, impressing his teammates.
Tottenham signed Udogie from Italian club Udinese in the summer of 2022.
According to Sky Sports, Spurs paid an initial transfer fee of £15 million for the left-back.
Udogie spent last season on loan at Udinese from Tottenham.
Against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, the Italian youngster played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 89.2%, won one header, took 58 touches, attempted one dribble, and made three clearances.
Destiny Udogie is a very good and promising young left-back.
Although the Italian is only 20 at the moment, he does have experience of playing regular first-team football for a while now.
The left-back made 31 starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A for Udinese last season.
Udogie scored three goals and gave four assists in those games.
During the 2021-22 season, the Italian youngster made 29 starts and six substitute appearances in Serie A.
Udogie scored five goals and provided four assists in those matches.
Although we should not get carried away by the left-back’s early-season promise just yet, we must be optimistic about his progress and development.
The Tottenham left-back should be given time and afforded patience to grow and improve further as a player.
After all, he is only 20.
