Sunderland are claimed to be interested in Peterborough United’s Jack Baldwin in the summer transfer window.
Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested on social networking site Twitter that the club have turned down Sunderland’s offer for Jack Baldwin.
MacAnthony has revealed on Twitter that Sunderland, who will play in League One after getting relegated from the Championship, did ask Peterborough about Baldwin.

The Posh chairman, though, has stated that the Black Cats’ offer for the 24-year-old, who can operate as a defender or as a midfielder, was not acceptable.
Busy summer for Sunderland
Sunderland have been quite busy in the summer transfer window so far, as they plan to win automatic promotion back to the Championship.
The former Premier League outfit have signed Tom Flanagan, Chris Maguire, Jon McLaughlin and Alim Ozturk so far this summer, and one suspects that many more will follow them to the Stadium of Light before the start of the 2017-18 campaign.
