Newcastle United and Norwich City-linked Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle is rated highly by Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has stated on social networking site Twitter that Dwight Gayle would be a good signing for Newcastle United or Norwich City.
According to latest media reports, Championship duo Newcastle and Norwich are interested in signing Gayle from Crystal Palace in the summer transfer window.
The Sun claimed at the weekend that Newcastle are keen on recruiting the 25-year-old striker this summer and are willing to pay as much as £10 million in transfer fees.
The Chronicle reported earlier this month that Norwich are also interested in the former Peterborough striker.

MacAnthony has spoken highly of Gayle on Twitter, and has predicted the striker to fire Newcastle or Norwich to Premier League promotion if he joins them.

Gayle scored three goals and created eight chances in 16 Premier League appearances for Palace during the 2015-16 season.
During the 2014-15 campaign, the former Peterborough striker scored five goals and created 16 chances in 25 league matches for the Eagles.
Back in 2013-14, Gayle scored four goals and created two chances in six Premier League games for Palace.
