New Bournemouth signing Lys Mousset claims he could have joined Spurs.

New Bournemouth signing Lys Mousset has told French newspaper L’Equipe, as quoted by Get French Football News, that he had an offer to join Tottenham this summer.
Mousset, 20, hit 14 goals for Le Havre last season, becoming one of the most highly-rated young attacking players in French football as he dominated against Ligue 2 defences.

With Le Havre missing out on promotion to Ligue 1, interest in Mousset was a given, and he signed a four-year deal with Bournemouth earlier this week, with Sky Sports claiming that the Cherries paid around £5.4m to sign Mousset and add him to their attacking ranks.
Intriguingly, it seems that Bournemouth weren’t the only Premier League club interested in signing Mousset. L’Equipe reported just days ago that Arsenal, Southampton, Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur were all keen to land the young forward before he made the move to Bournemouth.

A pacey attacker who can play out wide or up front, Mousset seemingly had his pick of a few Premier League clubs – and he’s now confirmed interest from Tottenham.
Spurs need a striker to offer some cover behind leading goalscorer Harry Kane, and if reports and Mousset are to be believed, they made a move to try and sign Bournemouth’s latest arrival.

Mousset has told French newspaper L’Equipe, as quoted by Get French Football News, that he had an offer to join Spurs, as well as offers from Torino, CSKA Moscow and Sevilla.
However, he felt that Bournemouth were the right club for him thanks to their ambition – and Spurs have to hope that they haven’t missed out, with Mousset set to face Mauricio Pochettino’s men in the Premier League next season.
“I had a fair amount of offers, from Torino, CSKA Moscow, Tottenham, Sevilla but I felt Bournemouth as they were the club that was rising in terms of strength and that wanted to progress,” said Mousset.
