The Bournemouth player is set for a January exit and Tottenham Hotspur should move quickly.
According to French publication L’Equipe, Bournemouth are willing to send striker Lys Mousset out on loan for the rest of the season and former suitors Tottenham Hotspur would be wise to at least consider a move.
The 20-year-old admitted back in July – in an interview with the Bournemouth Echo – that he turned down the chance to move to White Hart Lane. But with just five appearances for the Cherries to date, that seems like a poor choice in hindsight.
Tottenham signed Vincent Janssen in the summer but the Dutch international has looked woefully short of form in recent times, his early confidence faded with each missed opportunity, and Mousset would be a sensible loan option for Tottenham to add more fire power to their forward line.

He could not do any worse than Janssen, and with Tottenham rarely doing big business midway through a campaign, a loan move for a summer target would, on the surface, make plenty of sense.
Such a move would also prove if Mousset has the desire to succeed long term in England, with a switch to Tottenham giving him the chance to prove his worth after initially opting for an alternative move.

Not all players can admit their mistakes, but Mousset moving on loan to Tottenham would give every party the chance to see what might have been.
He is still only 20 and it should not be forgotten just how many clubs were after him back in the summer.
If Bournemouth are willing to send him elsewhere, it would be a win-win for the player and for a Tottenham side he initially waved away.
