Joe Aribo joined Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers in the summer transfer window.
Joe Aribo of Rangers
Lyle Taylor has praised Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo on Twitter for the Ibrox star’s goal for Nigeria against Brazil at the weekend.
Aribo scored for Nigeria in their 1-1 draw with Brazil away from home in a friendly international on Sunday.
The 23-year-old Rangers midfielder found the net in the 35th minute when he slotted home past Manchester City goalkeeper Manchester City’s Ederson.
Taylor played with Aribo at Charlton Athletic, and the 29-year-old Montserrat international striker was pleased to see his former teammate scoring against Brazil, while the Rangers midfielder himself has expressed his delight on Twitter.
Good signing for Rangers
Aribo joined Rangers in the summer transfer window as a free agent after leaving Charlton in England at the end of last season.
The Nigeria international midfielder has proved to be a good addition to Steven Gerrard’s side and has been playing well for the Gers so far this season.
According to WhoScored, Aribo has made six appearances in the Scottish Premiership, one in the Europa League and two in the Scottish League Cup.
