Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos has praised Arsenal and Egypt international Mohamed Elneny on Twitter.
Ceballos has said that Arsenal midfielder Elneny is “incredible”, adding that we need more players like the 30-year-old defensive midfielder in football.
The 26-year-old Spain international had a loan spell at Arsenal from Real Madrid from 2019 until 2021.
Ceballos made the comments about Elneny, who cost Arsenal £5 million in transfer fees when they signed him from FC Basel in 2016 (BBC Sport), in response to a clip on Twitter on his performance against West Ham United in the London derby on Monday evening.
The clip was actually being sarcastic about Elneny.
Elneny came on as a substitute in the fifth minute of injury time for Thomas Partey.
Arsenal won the Premier League game against West Ham at the Emirates Stadium in North London 3-1.
Elneny has made one start and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal so far this season.
The Arsenal no. 25 has played one match in the UEFA Europa League and one game in the Carabao Cup for Mikel Arteta’s side so far this campaign.
