Luke Shaw will not leave Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to The Mirror, meaning that Tottenham Hotspur and Everton will have to give up on their reported chase for the former Southampton defender.
According to The Mirror, Shaw will return to pre-season training with United this week and will remain at Old Trafford for the 2018-19 campaign.

This will come as a blow to Tottenham and Everton, who have been linked with moves for the England international left-back in the summer transfer window.

The Daily Mail reported of Spurs’ and Everton’s interest in Shaw in May, but the latest report in The Mirror suggests that the North London outfit and the Merseyside club will have be disappointed in their chase for the 22-year-old left-back.

Everton could do with a young and talented left-back such as Shaw, as Leighton Baines is in his 30s.
Tottenham would be a better team with Shaw, but the North London club do have two capable left-backs in Danny Rose and Ben Davies.
