United are unbeaten in their last nine games, and are looking upwards and hoping to chase down the teams above them in the table.
Shaw, who missed the fixture through injury, commented on Twitter after the game, encouraging United to keep their run going.
United’s next fixture is a tricky one away to in form West Bromwich Albion, before they play Sunderland on Boxing Day at home, closing the year out with Middlesbrough at Old Trafford.
