According to a report from the Telegraph, West Ham United have accepted a £12 million bid from West Bromwich Albion for Grady Diangana.
Wednesday morning couldn’t have started better for Baggies fans as they heard one of their heroes from last season was close to a return to the Hawthorns. Diangana was a star for West Brom last term and played a massive part in helping them earn promotion.
The 21-year-old scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 23 starts in the Championship for the Baggies. Slaven Bilic would have loved to sign him on a permanent deal but not many expected West Ham to let him leave this summer.
Diangana’s Hammers contract doesn’t expire until summer 2025. The youngster is one of their most exciting players and his pre-season form has been impressive as well.
However, West Brom have worked some magic in negotiations as the Englishman is now set to return to the Hawthorns on a permanent deal for just £12 million.
That, without doubt, is a bargain for the Baggies. Diangana will be an important player for Bilic and co in the Premier League this season and if he can perform well for a couple of years his value could double or even triple rapidly.

The report claims £12 million is the initial transfer fee with the deal expected to have significant add-ons. Baggies fans won’t care one jot about that as Diangana could prove to be the difference between relegation and survival in the Premier League.
