Leeds United defender Luke Ayling has responded to Tottenham Hotspur winger Jack Clarke’s post on Instagram.
Former Leeds winger Clarke was in action for Tottenham in their Europa League game against LASK on Thursday evening.
The 19-year-old did not start the match, but the former Leeds teenager, who can also operate as a forward, came on as a substitute in the 86th minute.
The winger is pleased to have made his debut for Tottenham, and his former Leeds teammates Ayling and Pascal Struijk have responded to his post on Instagram.
Ayling responded: “Love it mate.”
Struijk responded: “You love to see it.”
Encouraging for Jack Clarke
The game was pretty much won for Tottenham when Clarke came on, but the winger could have added to the Premier League club’s tally.
The winger’s curling effort just went wide. It would have been a special moment for him had that gone in.
It was an encouraging debut for Clarke, and it shows that Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho does think highly of him.
The winger could get chances in the coming weeks and months, and he has to make the most of them.
As reported by The Sun, Tottenham paid Leeds £10 million in transfer fees in the summer of 2019 to sign Clarke on a permanent contract.
