Leeds United defender Luke Ayling is very popular among the Elland Road faithful, and his actions last night during the boxing match between Josh Warrington and Mauricio Lara seems to have endeared him to the club’s supporters even more.
What’s the story?
Ayling was in attendance for the fight between Warrington and Lara last night.
It was expected to be a very entertaining fight, and Ayling was supporting Warrington.
The 30-year-old boxer is from Leeds and is a big fan of the Whites.
Ayling, who joined Leeds from Bristol City back in 2016, was supporting Warrington, but he was disappointed after the match ended in a technical draw.
Mexican boxer Lara suffered a huge cut above his left eye following a clash of heads in the second round.

The match had started brilliantly, and it was a disappointment for the fighters as well as those attending it that it had to end this way.
Ayling was disappointed as well, and he made it clear what he thought of Lara.
We are not going to embed the seven-second footage here on this page, but if you click here, you will notice Ayling showing Lara the two fingers and also mouthing an explicit.
What are Leeds United fans saying?
As you can see from the tweets below, Leeds fans are absolutely loving Ayling’s gesture that showed him supporting Warrington more than anything else.
Well, some of them anyway.
