Leeds United’s Luke Ayling hopes that his former club Yeovil Town returns to League Two.

Leeds United star Luke Ayling has sent a message to his former club Yeovil Town on Twitter.

Yeovil have ended the 2018-19 season at the foot of the League Two table and have been relegated from the division.

Ayling, who can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, was on the books of Yeovil from 2010 until 2014.

The 27-year-old has sent a message to the Glovers, and has urged them to rebuild and return to League Two stronger.

Premier League hopes

Leeds are aiming to clinch promotion to the Premier League via the Championship playoffs.

The West Yorkshire outfit were in the running for automatic promotion for much for the season, but in the final weeks, Marcelo Bielsa’s side slipped up.

It is going to be hard for the Whites to win the playoff semi-finals and then the final, but Leeds do have a strong team.

Leeds will take on Ipswich Town away from home in the Championship on Sunday.
