Luke Ayling missed Leeds United’s opening day win against Bristol City on Sunday.

Luke Ayling stated on Instagram that Jack Harrison ‘loves a tap in’ after he helped Leeds United to a deserved 3-1 win against Bristol City on Sunday.

Right-back Ayling missed the match through injury, with the versatile Stuart Dallas deputing in his natural role and producing a very respectable display.

In fact, it was a very strong all-round performance from Marcelo Bielsa’s men, with opening goalscorer Pablo Hernandez being the star of the show.

Striker Patrick Bamford also managed to get on the scoresheet, with Harrison rounding things off with a simple tap in at the far post, as his absent teammate, Ayling sent this message about him on his personal Instagram account:

That performance at Ashton Gate was a statement of intent to the rest of the league from Leeds, but can they replicate that throughout the season?

Squad depth is required to do so and that is one question that is asked of Bielsa’s side and whether he has a strong enough squad to help produce the goods.

If he does, or if they can add more fresh legs to their squad before Thursday’s deadline then it’ll increase Leeds chances of earning promotion to the Premier League.
