Ayling has more reason than most to be excited, having missed the latter half of last season due to injury.
Leeds missed him badly, and it should be no coincidence that their form fell off right afterwards.
Ayling could have an important role next season as part of Marcelo Bielsa’s back three, and his versatility should appeal to the Argentine manager.
