Leeds United defender Luke Ayling has responded to the club’s 28-second clip from last season.
As you can see below, Leeds have posted a 28-second clip from their 1-0 win against Barnsley in the Championship on this day last year.
What happened OTD?
Back on July 16, 2020, Leeds got the better of Barnsley 1-0 at Elland Road in the Championship.
Michael Sollbauer turned Patrick Bamford’s pull-back into his own net in the 28th minute, and that proved to be the only goal of the game.
The result left Marcelo Bielsa’s side needing just one point in their final two matches to win promotion.
Leeds had no problem whatsoever in clinching automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Big season ahead
Bielsa did extremely well with Leeds last season.
The Whites finished as high as ninth in the Premier League table.
That was brilliant when you consider that it was the first time that Leeds were playing in the Premier League since 2004.
Leeds fans will hope that the team fare much better next season.
It should not surprise anyone if the West Yorkshire club challenge for the Europa League places.
