Luke Ayling has been one of a number of players who has extended his stay at Leeds United recently.

Luke Ayling has predicted that ‘a few more’ contract extensions could be on the offing for his Leeds United players after he was the latest player to sign a new contract with the club.

On Tuesday, Leeds announced on their official Twitter account that right-back Ayling has extended his stay with the Championship promotion hopefuls.

Ayling, who returned to action against West Brom on Tuesday night, joined the ever-popular Kalvin Phillips, the versatile Stuart Dallas and centre-back Liam Cooper in players who have penned a few more years to their Leeds future.

The Elland Road faithful would have been delighted with that news and they will love the prediction Ayling has made in regards to more deals potentially being pushed over the line.

“It’s always nice to see the boys getting long deals,” Ayling told LUTV. “The boys done really well last year, and the club have noticed that and handed out some contracts to the boys which is always nice.

“It shows that the club is backing us as players. So it has been brilliant to see everyone get new deals and I’m sure there will be a few more to come.”

Since Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival last summer, a number of Leeds players have taken their game to another level because of his high-quality coaching and ability to bring the best out of players.

That hard work on the training pitch has transferred itself onto the pitch, where the players have been delivering, and as a result, they have been rewarded for their efforts.

At this moment in time, Leeds are sitting in the automatic places following their 1-0 win over Albion on Tuesday night, with Steve Cooper’s Swansea currently topping the table.
