Leeds United full-back Luke Ayling has praised Raphinha after he made his debut for Brazil last night.

International star

Raphinha came on for Brazil at half-time at a time when his country were in need, after falling 1-0 down to Venezuela, and he made a huge impact.

The Leeds attacker claimed two assists, as Brazil eventually went on to win 3-1.

Raphinha has been a revelation since arriving at Elland Road, and is now arguably the most important forward player in Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

His display on the international stage last night went on to further prove his class.

And Ayling was absolutely delighted to see his Leeds teammate performing so well for his country.

Value going up

Raphinha’s value is only set to increase after his latest international display, but it is becoming harder and harder for Leeds to keep hold of him.

The skilful attacker is surely starting to come on to the radar of some of the highest placed Premier League sides due to the quality of his displays.

The problem for Leeds is also that Raphinha may have to sit out of their next match.

Brazil’s final friendly is played next Friday, with Leeds in action against Southampton on the Saturday, meaning Raphinha will have hardly any time to rest between the two fixtures.
