Leeds United extended their lead at the top of the Championship with a remarkable victory against Blackburn Rovers.

Luke Ayling and Tyler Roberts were amongst the Leeds players to take to Twitter to react to Marcelo Bielsa’s side stunning victory over Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day – and neither man needed more than one word to sum up the win.
Heading into stoppage-time at Elland Road, Leeds were 2-1 down against Tony Mowbray’s men. Perhaps sensing they could do what they did against Aston Villa last weekend when they scored in the additional minutes, Leeds seemed to be sparked into life by conceding so late on.
But they not only equalised, they incredibly managed to find another goal to take a 3-2 lead that has extended their advantage at the top of the Championship to three points.
While they came from further behind against Villa, the victory against Blackburn was arguably even more remarkable given that they managed to turn the game around in four minutes.

It was the kind of game that would have understandably left many players and fans struggling to express their emotions adequately. So it is unsurprising that a couple of members of the Leeds squad managed to send out tweets after the game that only included one word yet still resonated with the supporters superbly.
Roberts lauded Kemar Roofe as he bagged both of Leeds’ late goals, while Ayling – who was substituted during the second-half – probably summed up the game best. And the pair were joined by the likes of Roofe, Kalvin Phillips, Barry Douglas and Patrick Bamford on social media.

Here are some of the squad’s tweets following the win…
