Leeds United defender Luke Ayling wore the armband last month, as Marcelo Bielsa’s side beat Birmingham City.

Leeds took on Birmingham City and won on their 100th anniversary, with Kalvin Phillips striking the only goal of the game.
Ayling was handed the armband to wear during the contest, as Marcelo Bielsa decided to give him the honour of leading the two sides out.
And Ayling admits that it was very special to be given the chance to be Leeds captain on such a momentous day for the club.
“It is a great to captain this club, especially in the centenary game, it was a really special moment,” the defender said.
“It was probably the first time in my career that I have stopped and thought, ‘Wow! I am actually captaining Leeds through its 100th birthday and for the centenary match!’. It was a real pinch-me moment.
“I went home, took the shirt, armband and jacket and it is all going to go up in a frame. I never frame shirts or anything, this is going to be the first one that I have up in the house. It was definitely the first moment in my career where I have stopped and just been wowed.”
Ayling has been at Leeds since 2016, making him one of the longest serving players at the club.

Ayling was in action for Leeds again at the weekend, as they beat Queens Park Rangers 2-0.
The Whites scored their goals through Jack Harrison and Tyler Roberts as they picked up an important three points.
Leeds are now in second place in the Championship standings, with only goal difference separating them at league leaders Preston North End.
