The midfielder has impressed for Tottenham at U23 level this season.

Tottenham Hotspur host APOEL Nicosia on Wednesday night in their final Champions League group stage fixture, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side having already secured their place in the Last 16.

Given that they have won their group, Tottenham have the opportunity to rest several players tomorrow night, which could in turn lead to some talented youngsters getting opportunities to impress at Wembley.

One player who falls into that category is Luke Amos, with the 20-year-old having trained with the Tottenham first-team squad during the week. Tottenham have confirmed that Amos is in the squad for the game against the Cypriot champions.

The defensive midfielder has been a mainstay for Tottenham at U23 level this season, while he also featured in the EFL Trophy but he would relish the opportunity to feature in the Champions League.

Amos, a former England youth international, previously gained experience during a loan spell at Southend United last season, for whom he featured three times.

There is a possibility that he could head out on temporary transfer again next month but firstly he could make an appearance in the Champions League, with Pochettino likely to give several of his established stars the night off with Saturday’s Premier League game against Stoke City in mind.
