Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has sent an emotional message to Lukasz Fabianski on Instagram after the West Ham United goalkeeper played his final match for Poland last night.

Fabianski was in action for Poland in the 2022 World Cup qualifier against San Marino last night.
Poland won 5-0.
It was the 36-year-old West Ham goalkeeper’s final match for his country.
The former Arsenal goalkeeper had announced his international retirement in the summer.
But Fabianski – who earns £65,000 per week as salary at West Ham, according to Spotrac – was given the match against San Marino as his farewell game.
The former Swansea City goalkeeper was substituted in the 58th minute.
Fabianski, who was in tears when he came off, was given a standing ovation at Warsaw’s Stadion Narodowy.

Bayern and Poland international striker Lewandowski has sent an emotional message to Fabianski on Instagram, as you can see below.
When translated from Polish, the message reads: “new challenges are ahead of us 🇵🇱💪
“Thanks @ lukasz.fabianski for all those years spent together on the pitch and great performances for #Polska. 15 years in the squad shows how much you meant to this team 🇵🇱👏🙌 @laczynaspilka”
Still going strong
Fabianski may be 36 now, but the Pole is still going strong and remains a player at the top of his game.
Like current Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, Fabianski could not make himself a regular at Arsenal, but he was superb for Swansea and has been brilliant for West Ham over the years.
