Fortunately the goal glut came against Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham, giving the Gunners reason to smile rather than focus on being remorseful.
Gnabry netted four goals to embarrass Spurs, in a 7-2 victory for Bayern Munich.
His ex-Arsenal teammate Lukas Podolski loved it, and has urged the Gunners to make Gnabry their player of the month.
Even if Arsenal wanted to, they wouldn’t as it would insult their current crop of players.
Arsenal might have a few special young talents themselves at the moment, with Reiss Nelson and Bukayo Saka making an impact.
They just have to hold onto them at all costs.
