Paul Merson has said on Sky Sports News (12:16pm, August 14, 2021) that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will struggle against Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.
Arsenal will take on Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League this coming Sunday.
The Gunners will head into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Brentford in the league.
Arsenal central defenders Ben White and Pablo Mari struggled against Brentford striker Ivan Toney.
Chelsea striker Lukaku is available for the match against Arsenal, and former Gunners star Merson believes that it is going to be tough for Arteta’s side.
Merson said on Sky Sports News (12:16pm, August 14, 2021): “You think when Lukaku plays against them? My God. You know what I mean. He is the last person you want to play against if you are Arsenal, the last person.”

Worrying for Arsenal
Lukaku is one of the best strikers in the world, and the former Manchester United star will be determined to hit the ground running back at Chelsea.
The 28-year-old will create all sorts of problems for White and Mari and will pose a very physical challenge.

Arsenal were defensively poor against Brentford, and they have to do much better if they are to stop Chelsea.
According to The Athletic, Lukaku has scored 113 goals in 252 Premier League games.
The 28-year-old scored 24 goals and gave 11 assists in Serie A for Inter Milan last season, and scored 23 goals and provided two assists in the league in 2019-20.
