The Reds will face Suarez’s Barca should they overcome Porto in their Champions League quarter-final second leg.

Liverpool fans are just one game away from a prospective reunion with Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho following Barcelona’s comprehensive win over Manchester United in the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils, trailing 1-0 from the first leg, were undone thanks to a superb performance from Lionel Messi, who bagged a quickfire brace within the first 20 minutes at Camp Nou, while Coutinho added a ferocious long-range third just after the hour.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are 2-0 up in their quarter-final tie with Porto going into Wednesday night’s second leg at the Estadio do Dragao, so providing they hold their colour in Portugal, they will face the Blaugrana in what would be a highly anticipated semi-final.
Suarez, who had laid the foundations for the triumph over Man United with his key role in the first leg’s only goal, the header deflected by Luke Shaw into his own net, made 133 appearances for Liverpool, scoring 82 goals and registering 47 assists, according to Transfermarkt.
After the win over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, the Uruguay legend took to Twitter with a short message plus several photos from the night:
Some Liverpool fans responded excitedly to their ex-player’s prospective return to Anfield, with a few suggesting his side’s CL journey was to end in the semis:
