The Reds icon, now at Barcelona, is in line to face Jurgen Klopp’s charges in the Champions League semi-finals.

Luis Suarez has given his honest opinion of Liverpool’s current front line ahead of Barcelona’s Champions League semi-final encounter with his former club next week.
The Uruguay talisman is arguably one of the finest Reds strikers in recent history, having made 133 appearances for the Anfield side, scoring 82 goals and registering 47 assists, according to Transfermarkt.
Suarez joined Liverpool in 2011 from Ajax before upping sticks for Barcelona in 2014, where he continues to ply his trade today, and he has been equally as impressive with the Blaugrana, netting 176 goals and registering 95 assists in 244 matches (Transfermarkt).
On Wednesday 1 May, Camp Nou plays host to Jurgen Klopp’s charges, who boast one of the most fearsome attacking tridents in world football, comprising Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.
“The front three are very quick, technically gifted, so much talent; they’re players who make the difference and Liverpool’s results depend on them,” Suarez told Sky Sports News.

“The kind of players you’d love to play with, with the level you’d expect for a club like Liverpool, built to win the Premier League and the Champions League.”
Liverpool returned to the top of the Premier League table on Friday night thanks to their 5-0 win over Huddersfield Town, and Salah and Mane are first and second in the league’s goalscoring charts with 21 and 20 goals respectively, in addition to Firmino’s 12 (BBC Sport).
After the game at Camp Nou, the Reds travel to Newcastle United on Saturday night, and on the following Tuesday, Anfield will host Barca in the second leg.
