Barcelona striker Luis Suarez spoke to reporters today ahead of his side’s Champions League clash with Liverpool tomorrow night, and offered high words of praise for Anfield, labelling the famous old stadium as ‘special’, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.

The Reds trail 3-0 from the first-leg in the Camp Nou, and Jurgen Klopp’s side will need Anfield to be at its vociferous best, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of making it through to the final of the competition.

Liverpool do, of course, have it in their locker to cause Barcelona problems. They did, after all, dominate the Catalans for large portions of the game during the first-leg tie.

They will certainly have to be more ruthless in front of goal, however, if they are to turn things around tomorrow night.

Anfield will undoubtedly be bouncing for kick-off, and Suarez warned his teammates about the influence that Liverpool’s stadium can have on proceedings, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account:

Luis Suarez of Barcelona looks on during the International Champions Cup match between Liverpool and Barcelona at Wembley Stadium on August 6, 2016 in London, England.

“Anfield is always special. It’s very nice for me to come back here, because thanks to Liverpool I’ve experienced some wonderful moments. We know the difficulty of playing in a stadium with so much history, we come here with a good result, but we have to have a lot of respect for Liverpool, we’ll have to be very careful.”

It will be an emotional return to Anfield for Suarez, who spent three-and-a-half years with Liverpool, racking up 82 goals in the process.

And Reds fans will be hoping that the Uruguayan has a quiet night tomorrow, as their side look to overcome a 3-0 deficit from the first-leg.
