Luis Suarez has acknowledged Celtic fans’ passion ahead of tonight’s Champions League visit to Barcelona.
Celtic are back in the big time of European football, but they could have barely asked for a tougher start to Group C as Brendan Rodgers’s side take on the Spanish giants.

“We know that Celtic have some of the best fans in Europe and they will arrive here and make some noise,” he told The Scottish Sun.
“They’ll be optimistic they can get a good result, but we must just focus on what happens on the field.”
Despite Suarez’s claim, Celtic fans will not be overly optimistic of leaving Catalunya with a result, given Barcelona’s quality, but they did lose 2-1 at home to Alaves on the weekend, while Rodgers’s side hammered Rangers 5-1, so who knows.
It will be extremely tough for Celtic to reach the latter stages of the competition, with Manchester City and Borussia Monchengladbach also in Group C, but perhaps merely being involved in this tournament again is a big enough satisfaction for the moment.
