Luis Sinisterra has told LUTV that he has heard a lot about the Leeds United fans and the famous Elland Road atmosphere, after it was confirmed he had put pen to paper on a five-year deal at Elland Road.
Sinisterra, 23, is the club’s sixth arrival of the summer. He joins less than 24 hours after the club made a deal for Tyler Adams official – with Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca and Darko Gyabi also on board.
A Colombia international, Sinisterra joins Leeds for a fee in the region of £25million. It comes after a wonderful season with Feyenoord, in which he was crucial in his side’s campaign to the Europa League Conference final.
He had a hand in 37 goals during 49 appearances – scoring 23 and creating 14. Now at Elland Road, Sinisterra spoke of the atmosphere at Elland Road and the Leeds fans, and is full of excitement of making his debut.

“I am very happy to be here in this beautiful club, I am enjoying this time,” Sinisterra said. “I know it’s a historic club with beautiful fans. I’ve heard a lot of things about the stadium and atmosphere.
“It’s amazing so I can’t wait to feel that in person. It was my dream when I was a child [to play in the Premier League], right now I am close to making that,” Sinisterra continued, as per the Leeds website.

What a signing this is, for Leeds. A player of supreme quality, that has already proven he is a threat on the international stage. Likely to be Raphinha’s replacement, Leeds are replacing a South American with another.
Goals, assists, tricks, speed, tenacity – all for £25million. Yes, it is a big step up from the Eredivisie but there are high hopes for Sinisterra. If he is anything as good as Raphinha, Leeds have got themselves a bargain.
