Liverpool are currently level on points at the top of the table.
Former Liverpool star Luis Garcia has told the club’s official website that consistency is the key factor the Reds must show for a title challenge.
Jurgen Klopp’s team have started this season in fine form, with seven wins from their first ten games.
That sees them sitting joint top of the Premier League table, level on points with Arsenal and Manchester City.
For many, they are outside contenders for the title this season, with the feeling being that a lack of European football could end up being a major positive for them.

Garcia is hopeful they can do it but says they must find that consistency all champions have to do it.
“I think the manager has done an unbelievable job since the very beginning, the players have fitted very well together, and the new players are doing fantastic work,” he told the club’s official website.
“The results are arriving and so the important thing now is to continue in the same way and [show] the consistency that is needed to win the Premier League.”

It remains to be seen if Liverpool can keep up their current title challenge for the remainder of the season.
If they are to do so they will need to improve their defensive record, having conceded the most goals of any top six side and the second most of all the teams in the top ten.
That defensive record could end up ruining their chances and improvement will be needed if they are to be genuine contenders.
