Mohamed Salah agonisingly hit the post late on, with the Reds denied a crucial away goal.

Former Liverpool star Luis Garcia, who once famous netted in a Champions League semi-final himself, reacted on Twitter after the game.

He called on fans at Anfield to lift the team, and inspire a stirring comeback.
