Liverpool urged to hold off on selling until the summer.

Liverpool have been urged to keep Coutinho until the summer by two of their former players.

Coutinho is attracting strong interest from Barcelona, who are expected to spend a club record fee on the Brazilian.

Spanish newspaper SPORT report Coutinho wants to move and is set to push for an exit. But with Liverpool holding firm in the summer, there is no urgency to sell mid-season.

The Mirror report Liverpool want as much as £160 million for the attacker.

With all to play for domestically and in Europe, ex-Reds Jamie Carragher and Luis Garcia both took to Twitter to urge Liverpool to keep Coutinho put until the summer, even if it means agreeing a transfer in advance.

Coutinho is part of an exciting Liverpool attacking quartet who have only just got started.

He surely owes it to the Reds to see out the season and see where it leads in the Champions League.

The points Carragher and Garcia make is that Liverpool owe it to themselves to stand firm and discover how far they can go too.
