Barry Bannan is on his way back for Sheffield Wednesday.

Sheffield Wednesday may have received a major boost ahead of their Championship game against Leeds United away from home at Elland Road next weekend.
Star midfielder Barry Bannan is set to step up his recovery and could feature for the Wednesday Under-23 side against their Burnley counterparts on Monday evening.
Wednesday Jos Luhukay has told the club’s official website: “Sam and Joost have made good progress so we will continue to assess them and Barry Bannan will also be considered for the game.”

Major boost
Luhukay made the revelation following Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Bolton Wanderers at the Hillsborough Stadium in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Bannan recently returned to full training after recovering from a hip injury, having not featured for the first team since December 9.

Wednesday’s recent results and performances have not been great, and the Owls are in danger of getting relegation to League One at the end of the season.
Bannan’s return would be hugely welcomed by the fans, as his experience and quality would give Wednesday a good chance of winning against Leeds at Elland Road in the Championship next weekend.
Wednesday are 17th in the Championship table at the moment with 38 points from 37 matches.
