The Macedonia international has been linked with a move to Leeds United.
Lugano coach Pier Tami has been speaking to RSI Sport about the future of alleged Leeds United target Ezgjan Alioski.
A report from Correire dello Tecino late last month claimed the Whites were ready to swoop for the 25-year-old and, while he is yet to move on, it seems his current coach is resigned to losing his star player this summer.
“The attack is the crucial point at this time, given the departures of Sadiku and especially Alioski, but I have confidence in the president (to replace them),” Tami told RSI Sport.
The Leeds target scored 17 goals and provided 14 assists for Lugano last season, and with that kind of return it is no surprise new Whites boss Thomas Christiansen is interested in bringing him to Elland Road this summer.
The problem for Leeds is that the Macedonian will have attracted plenty of interest after playing a direct role in 31 goals last time out, and while Whites owner Andrea Radrizzani has the money to support a considerable summer spending spree, top flight clubs in other European countries could be planning moves of their own.
Whatever happens it seems his current manager has accepted he will be without his star man when the new campaign kicks off, and Leeds fans will be desperate to see Alioski join recent signings Mateusz Klich and Felix Wiedwald sooner rather than later.
The winger-cum-striker would be one of the most exciting additions at Leeds for many a year. But there is still work to be done before a deal is agreed.
