Leeds United have been strongly linked with Ezgjan Alioski.
Swiss club Lugano have claimed on their official website that winger Ezgjan Alioski’s sale to an English club is ‘imminent’ amid strong interest from Leeds Unied.
Alioski, 25, initially joined Lugano on loan from Schaffhausen back in January 2016, and he was originally a left back before Zdenek Zeman switched his position to turn him into a right-sided winger.
The Macedonian international has now become a star in Switzerland, as he hit 17 goals and 14 assists for Lugano last season, which has unsurprisingly triggered major interest in his signature.
Swiss newspaper Blick recently reported that Leeds United were pushing to sign Alioski, and whilst a host of clubs have been linked with his signature, he has so far remained with Lugano.
Now though, the Swiss club have claimed on their official website that Alioski may have trained with the club for the last time, as a move to England is ‘imminent’ for the winger.
Lugano’s claims will point towards a move to Leeds, given that no other English clubs have been linked with signing him this summer, and the Whites are making moves in the transfer market.

Thomas Christiansen’s men have brought in Felix Wiedwald, Vurnon Anita, Madger Gomes, Mateusz Klich and Hadi Sacko, whilst deals for Samu Saiz and Caleb Ekuban are also going through this week.
Alioski will give Leeds another option out wide if – as expected – the mystery English club is indeed the Whites, and he will represent something of a coup given his remarkable statistics from last season.
