Ludvig Aberg finished the 2025 season strongly, and no one would be surprised if he takes another step forward next year.
He picked up the Genesis Invitational title in February, but did not quite hit the heights that many had forecast for him this season.
Aberg’s only top-10 finish at a major came at The Masters, and he missed the cut at both the US Open and PGA Championship.
But his form has picked up towards the back end of the year, giving him plenty of momentum to carry into 2026.
If he keeps building on his progress, Aberg could soon justify what Tiger Woods said about him during a TGL event back in January.
How Tiger Woods’ thoughts on Ludvig Aberg are starting to look justified

Woods joined a growing list of voices earlier this year backing Aberg to become a top player.
“It’s so simple. Just straight up, straight down. He doesn’t do anything wrong in his golf swing,” the golf legend stated.
“There’s no little thing that he does… there’s nothing that’s going to stop him from being one of the world’s best.”
Aberg is not quite in that conversation yet, with Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Tommy Fleetwood still ahead of him.
But if you look at his recent results across the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, it is clear he is heading in the right direction.
He has not finished outside the top 25 in any event since June, when he played the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands.
While another trophy would have been nice, this level of consistency is exactly what players like Scheffler and McIlroy have used to reach the top.
The question now is whether 2026 will be the year Aberg breaks through with his first major win and starts to carve out his own legacy.
