Former Leeds United striker Luciano Becchio has taken to Instagram to comment on his time at Elland Road.

The 32-year-old has been without a club since leaving Rotherham United last season, but with the Whites flying high in the Championship a move for their former fan favourite seems highly unlikely right now.

Instead Becchio will have to get used to watching Leeds from afar, as they continue to mount a serious promotion push under manager Garry Monk.

Writing on social media on Monday morning, Becchio commented on a picture of him in a Leeds shirt with long hair, referring to England as his home and his former Whites teammates as his amigos.

The Argentine scored 86 goals in 219 matches for Leeds and he is fondly remembered at the club.

Now the Whites have the likes of Chris Wood doing the business for a side that has been away from the top flight for far too long but could book their return if they continue in their current vein of form.
