Lucas Moura is showing signs that he could be a different animal for Tottenham Hotspur in his second full season.

Tottenham Hotspur slumped to a third successive 1-0 defeat on Saturday.
A last-minute own goal saw Bournemouth snatch a late victory over nine-man Spurs, who had Son Heung-min and Juan Foyth sent off.
It was the latest disappointment for Mauricio Pochettino, whose side have lost by the same scoreline to West Ham and, crucially, Ajax over the past week.
If there was a positive to be taken from the Vitality Stadium, it’s that Lucas Moura was brilliant. Again.
The Brazilian might’ve been Tottenham’s best player in the defeat by Ajax and West Ham, and the same applied against the Cherries.
Even when the team aren’t playing well, Lucas’s enthusiasm and determination to stand out isn’t affected and such characteristics mean he could be exceptional for Pochettino next season.
He has only been in North London for about 16 months following a £25 million move from Paris Saint-Germain in January of 2018 [The Telegraph]. He has impressed in patches before, but there is something different about this run of form. There is an added grit which only comes from experience in the Premier League.
The more he gets, the better he is becoming. If he’s brilliant when the Lilywhites are playing terrible, how good could he be in a winning side?
