Tottenham Hotspur are certainly in the headlines.
On Sunday night, Spurs announced their intention to be part of the controversial new Super League, alongside five other Premier League clubs.
Fans were raging with this announcement, but Spurs followed it up with the confirmation that Jose Mourinho has been sacked.
Friday’s 2-2 draw at Everton proved to be the final straw, and just days ahead of the Carabao Cup final, Spurs have parted ways with Mourinho.
Tottenham must now look to find a replacement, and whilst Mourinho wasn’t exactly popular with fans by the end, one player has posted an emotional goodbye.
Winger Lucas Moura became a favourite of Mourinho almost immediately. His strong work ethic and defensive effort meant he featured prominently under the Portuguese coach.
Mourinho clearly trusted Moura, even utilising him as a left-sided wing back against Everton on Friday night.
Moura has now taken to Instagram, posting a heartfelt message to Mourinho whilst thanking him for everything he has done for him.
“Thank you Mister for this period of full learning and professional and personal growth. I am very grateful to you and your coaching staff. I have no words to describe the honour and pride I feel for working with you. May God bless you in your next challenge, I will always be rooting for you.”
Mourinho responded with a single love heart emoji, appreciating the winger’s words as he now prepares for his next challenge.
