Tottenham attacker replaced Fernando Llorente in the second half.

It’s clear Fernando Llorente is limited in terms of what he can contribute to Tottenham in Harry Kane’s absence.
Mauricio Pochettino replaced him with Lucas Moura in the second half against Chelsea. The problem is the Brazilian did not contribute anything.
Perhaps he was simply rushed back too soon from injury. Regardless his performance was one to forget.
Lucas managed only nine touches in 23 minutes and his only shot missed the target when he was set free by a long ball from Paulo Gazzaniga.
He followed this up with a miss in the penalty shootout.

Giving Lucas a chance up front is in theory a viable alternative to Llorente.
He is quicker, offers better movement, and he has an eye for goal.
He just lacks physical presence, which is a drawback when Spurs play with one up front.
Really he needs more time up front to properly be judged, and he may get it, but Tottenham do not want to be experimenting.
Last night his audition fell flat and he did not show Pochettino that he should start up front in the FA Cup against Palace instead of Llorente.
