Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos will be hoping to be the top marksman in the Scottish Premiership next season, but will still be at the club in order to do that?

RoPS midfielder Lucas Lingman has backed his former teammate Alfredo Morelos with a move to a ‘bigger club’ in England following his successes at Rangers.
Lingman, who was in action against Aberdeen at Pittodrie last Thursday in a Europa League qualifier, played alongside Morelos during his time at HJK Helsinki.
In 2017, Morelos made the switch from the Finland-based side to Scotland, as he produced his best performances in front of goal under Steven Gerrard’s stewardship last term.
Lingman stated that he wasn’t ‘surprised’ by how well his former teammate has done since moving to the Scottish Premiership, as he backed to him to move onto bigger and better things.
“If he continues to score at the rate he has done in Scotland he can win a move to a bigger club in England,” said Lingman, as quoted by the Daily Record. “I am not surprised he’s done so well in Scotland.
“He’s mentally and physically fit enough to compete. Yes, mentally, he was so strong. He doesn’t care if you kick him but in Finland, he wasn’t kicked as much as he is in Scotland.
“I hope he can play at a higher level because he is a very good player and a good person and I wish the best for him.”

Rangers supporters will be keen to keep hold of their main man up top ahead of the new Premiership season because he will be key to them lifting some silverware.
Despite the 23-year-old’s well-documented off-the-ball problems last term, Morelos still managed to find the back of the net on 30 occasions [transfermarkt].
And the powerful forward is already off the mark this season because he netted for Gerrard’s side during their comfortable Europa League qualifier win against St Joseph’s last week.
