The Reds added seven new players to their squad this summer.
Liverpool midfield Lucas Leiva has told the club’s official website that he believes they have very good players in every single position.
The Reds were busy this summer as manager Jurgen Klopp completely overhauled the squad he inherited from Brendan Rodgers.
The German brought seven new players to the club as well as allowing nine players to leave.
It is fair to say that his incomings saw him looking to improve his options across the park, with players brought in to improve nearly every area of the team.
And Lucas has been impressed, saying he now believes they are capable of fielding two teams that could get them results.
“I think it’s clear that we have very good players in every single position. I would say we have two teams you could put out to get you results,” he told Liverpoolfc.com.
“Of course, the Premier League is very difficult, but I think the squad we have, with the new players who have made us stronger – hopefully, it’s going to be a very good season for the club.”
Klopp will be praying that the added strength in depth he has helps his side to success this season.
Last year they struggled, especially in the second half of the campaign, as a raft of injuries left them short in the centre of defence.
That should not be a problem this time around and the German boss will be hoping that their new found strength in depth can help them to success this season.
