The Liverpool man has been linked with a move to Celtic and he could help get the best out of a current Bhoys prospect.

According to a recent report from the Daily Mail, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers wants to reunite with Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva this summer.
The Brazilian is coming to the end of his contract at Anfield and if he does move on, a move to Celtic could suit all parties, with a young Bhoys prospect also set to benefit from the 30-year-old’s experience.
Eboue Kouassi arrived at Celtic with a big reputation following his exploits at Russian side Krasnodar. However he has only shown glimpses of his talent thus far as he gets used to the rigours of Scottish football.
It was always going to take time for Kouassi to settle in his new surroundings, not least because he is still only 19. But if Lucas were to follow him to Celtic Park, the Brazilian could help get the best out of the youngster, teaching him to harness his skills and become the best possible holding midfielder.

Lucas certainly knows a thing or two about that position and Rodgers will know that bringing him to Celtic will not only see a quality reinforcement on the pitch but also an experienced teacher off it.
With 345 appearances for Liverpool under his belt and a good few years left in the tank, Lucas would be an outstanding free transfer from Celtic’s perspective.
And one wonders if in years to come Kouassi could have the player to thank for his own blossoming Bhoys career.
