Lubo Moravcik believes that Celtic’s success have been devalued by Rangers’ gradual decline.

Former Celtic hero Lubo Moravcik believes that the Hoops’ recent title successes have been devalued by Rangers’ gradual decline.
Rangers and Celtic are the two major clubs in Scotland, but at the moment, the Bhoys are undoubtedly the superior team of the two.
Last season, Celtic claimed domestic treble by remaining unbeaten throughout the season. The gulf in quality between the two sides are huge in recent times.

Moravcik, one of Celtic’s best-value signings of only £300,000 in 1998, won two championships with the Bhoys during his time at the club.
He was a key part of Martin O’Neill’s side that won the treble in 2001. The 52-year-old believes that the “rivalry” between the two clubs is not the same anymore, mainly because of Rangers’ gradual decline.
Moravcik has said that “it is easier” for Celtic to claim the titles without Rangers providing a strong challenge.

He has praised Brendan Rodgers for bringing in “fresh energy” at Celtic. He added that if Rangers can form a strong team like they were 10 years ago, then it will be harder for Celtic to win the league.
“Without Rangers, it is much easier to get all these victories in the Scottish league,” said Moravcik, as quoted by The Scottish Sun.
“It is not the same without Rangers. It was a rivalry but it is not the same. Aberdeen have tried to be close to Celtic these last two or three years — but they have not been good enough.
“I don’t know why, whether it is the financial aspects or other things.”
