Everton’s woeful run of form continued on Sunday afternoon, as they were hammered 4-0 away at Manchester United after a defensive capitulation.
The Toffees entered the game having been beaten 3-0 in their two previous games, firstly by Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park, and then by Atalanta in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Manager Ronald Koeman had come in for stern criticism following those results, and whilst he needed a better showing at Old Trafford on Sunday, he certainly didn’t get one.

Antonio Valencia rifled United in front with a superb strike into the top corner of the net, and whilst Everton managed to keep it at 1-0 until Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s 83rd minute goal, they then fell apart.
Romelu Lukaku found the net against his former club to make it 3-0, and a late penalty allowed Anthony Martial to add a fourth in another thrashing for Everton.
Given that Everton struggled once again, a number of players came in for criticism from supporters, but defender Michael Keane particularly failed to impress again, having also struggled against Atalanta.

Fans took to Twitter to discuss Keane’s performance, with many pointing out just how nervous he looks on the ball, suggesting that he looks completely shot of confidence right now.
Others believe that he may not be as good as Everton first thought, highlighting that he is some way short of former Toffees defender John Stones, and needs to turn around his performances quickly.
